How to reach Hotel Corte dei Medici
How to reach Hotel Corte dei Medici by car:
Coming from South (Rome) the first exit is Firenze
Sud.
Coming from North (Milan, Venice, Bologna or Genoa) the first exit
is Firenze
Nord.
Coming from Pisa or Siena the roads will lead directly into the city.
After exiting the motorway, first follow the signs indicating "centro" and
then the ones indicating "stazione S.M.N.".
Once you are at S.M.N. train station get into the
square located in front of the station (Piazza dell'Unità)
and take the street (Via del Melarancio) between
Grand Hotel Baglioni and Grand Hotel Majestic. Once on Via
del Melarancio,
turn right into Via del Giglio where
you will see the entrance to the Garage Giglio where you
can park your car at a cost of 24,00 Euro per day. At the
end of the street (Via Melarancio) you will enter Piazza
Madonna where the Medicean
Chappels are found and where you can park your
car to unload baggage.
When in front of the entrance to the Medicee Chaples, looking towards
Piazza San Lorenzo, look up above the rows of market
stands and see the writing Hotel Corte dei Medici.
How to get to the Hotel from the airport:
The easiest and cheapest way to reach the hotel from the A.
Vespucci airport is by bus. There is a shuttle
bus every 30 minutes from
the airport to the central train station. The tickets
may be purchased on board and cost Euro 8,00. If you prefer
to ride in comfort by taxi the fare can be around
Euro 20,00.
How to get to the hotel from the train station:
Since the hotel is located just 400 meters away from S.M.N.
train station, you can easily get to the hotel by
foot if you are not
carrying too much luggage.
Take the arrival-side exit and turn right going toward Piazza
dell'Unità.
Once you get there, take the street (Via del Melarancio)
between Grand Hotel Baglioni and Grand Hotel Majestic. At the end
of the street you will get to the San Lorenzo area. Hotel
Corte dei Medici is located right behind the Medici
Chapels, near
the market place.
